The Siskiyou County Sheriff Search and Rescue Association is a non-profit charitable organization recognized by the State of California and the Internal Revenue Service under section 501 (c) 3.
The purpose for which this Association was established is as follows:
- To support and assist the mission of the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Search and Rescue Team
- To promote awareness of and quality in the SCSO Search and Rescue Team and
- To financially assist, plan and/or coordinate projects, activities, grant applications, training, and/or fundraisers for the SCSO Search and Rescue Team.
This website provides the opportunity to share the SAR mission in Siskiyou County with the public and potential members and supporters.
Here you can learn how the SCSO Search and Rescue Team serves as a resource for those who have gone missing, and their families. The Team is made up of a diverse group of “unpaid” professionals who give their time and energy to regularly train and respond to callouts “so that others may live.”
